Simultaneously to the artist's exhibitions at MoMA in New York and Stephen Friedman Gallery in London, this show brings together works from a single period, between 1964 and 1966. Presented at the VIII International Biennial of São Paulo, the series of 30 monotypes was one of the most important and extensive in the production of Mira Schendel. In a single procedure, on a sheet of glass, Schendel layed down black oil paint beneath the rice paper covered with talc and draw with a drypoint tool, therefore the lines were marked inversely.
