Pushing the aesthetic boundaries of materials such as concrete, wood, iron and stone, all seven pieces that comprise the exhibition express the chaotic flow of great metropolises at their lively core, open to constant change. Sassi’s work stems from the relationship with urban architecture and construction processes, giving new meaning to fragments, debris and ruins he collects around the city. Confined in the studio, Sassi employs various materials on this pandemic production, like fire-extinguishers, paving stones and iron beams.
