Raul Mourão - Empty Head

The artist’s first solo exhibition in New York headquarters includes recent works that synthesize and connect Mourão's formal investigations to a political critique of contemporary issues. Two series of sculptures created by Mourão during the social isolation period. According to the artist, the recent works are closer to a machinic grammar that brings in more weight, uses more material, and generates greater visual shuffling, as well as a more intimidating tone.
