First solo exhibition at Galeria Nara Roesler’s New York outpost and first exhibition in New York since 2004 showcases fifteen works in which Senise re-appropriates pages of vintage books. The artist collected material from sources ranging from artist monographs to religious books, creating a new pictorial platform, tapping into the power retained by material and addressing the question of matter vs. time. Four works feature recycled or shredded paper, while the remaining eleven pieces utilize paper to build a geometric landscape on an aluminium base.
