onathas de Andrade is occupying the Antonio Room – Galeria Vermelho’s cinema – with the short film O Caseiro [The Caretaker] (2016) which proposes a dialogue with the 1959 film, O Mestre de Apipucos, by Joaquim Pedro de Andrade. The film is constructed symmetrically in two narratives. At the left, the 1959 film, kindly ceded by the producer, Filmes do Serro, shows the daily life of Gilberto Freyre in his house in the district of Apipucos, in Recife. Outside the cinema, Jonathas is showing the installation Suar a Camisa [Sweaty Shirts] (2014), seen for the first time in São Paulo.
