Fábio Baroli - Cor de burro quando foge

Baroli deals with word-plays, jokes, popular sayings and cultural references, all typical of Minas Gerais country side, to create the characters in his paintings. He imagines the scenes, researches the images, crops them and projects them into the canvas to paint them. In his dyptichal, tryptical and polyptichal works, he creates interference between the parts – one altering and distorting the other. All together, they form various situations that happen all at the same time.
