Erick Beltran was born in 1974, in Mexico City, and currently lives and works in Barcelona. He is a conceptual artist with a production focused on the investigation of communications systems, as well as on the critical study of the ways in which knowledge is structured and categorized. In this exhibition, the artist deals with the problematics of representing spherical surfaces, as suggested by the title of the show, taking the earth’s surface as an analogy.
